It will be hard tbh. Most Manager roles in industry won’t pay $200 TC unless there is some RSUs mixed in but even then would be hard. Also OT/ICS align more heavily with the industries that won’t pay as well compared to others. Granted may be hot enough area to push close $200 but would say those will be the outliers and will require lot of applying and interviewing. Tbh you’re at a very solid TC for a Senior role. Good luck!
That’s going to be tough. Manager salaries are typically closer to $150-160k TC in industry
Depends on the industry you jump to. I also work in OT/ICS. Some industries pay garbage others are paying top dollar for our skill sets.
Yes especially in OT/ICS, a hot market in cyber. I would definitely follow the 20% rule when leaving, obtaining a salary increase of atleast 20%. In your case that would be $34k.
It depends on your practical experience and the industry. I'm OT cyber and originally come from the controls/ops side. Managers are usually expected to have hands on ops, industrial networking, or ICS experience unless you're going into the audit or compliance part of the organization. You might get lucky if you have a specialty like detect and respond that they're looking for or it's a large organization with a lot of intermediate roles.
It's doable, but it's typically vc backed tech firm that has money so it may be a challenge for ict.
I am in security engineering, my TC is 350k, 4 yoe. I can't imagine my manager making lower than that.
I did opposite - was in industry forever and just moved to EY .. but 200 at least here in NY area is doable but it varies wildly. I’d say plain old manager 150-225 - director 175-300+ are typical ranges.
