I'm moving to Jersey City from West coast and considering to move my home office to Deloitte NYC. For tax purposes how much difference would it make to be tagged to Jersey City office? My preference would be to go to NYC office once in a while but how's the Jersey City Deloitte office like?

You can go to any office so may as well just do JC as your home so you may not have to file 2 returns

I currently live in Jersey city and work in NYC office. I think it’s worth being tagged to NYC, especially if you’re on the accounting side and your whole team is there. You will get peace of mind that you don’t miss out on anything nyc. There is no difference in amt of taxes paid at the end, you’ll just get a credit.

Yeah, for example NJ gets a renter credit. It’s so bloody confusing

@OP - where in Jersey City are you moving? I’m planning to move from SF to Jersey next month and curious.

I have a silly client in the Carolinas which requires me to travel. The west to east flights are killing me lol

Had an employee request a standing desk due to back problems. went through the ADA process & the employee obtained a doctor's note to support their request. However, the note was questionable. it was from an acupuncturist, on a word doc, no real signature and just said that a standing desk would prevent pain & improve their productivity, nothing about him not being able to work without it. Thoughts? Also, what do you think about having certifications from non-traditional doctors?

I’ve been dating my partner for about 10 months now. We met during Covid. The sex was great in the beginning and we almost did it everyday. What worries me is that we do it barely once a week now. Work has taken a toll on both of us and we are always exhausted and lazy. We meet 2-3 times a week and are tired by the time we get to it. As a result, I get tempted when I see other girls. How do I take care of this problem?
