Hi All,
I just got a call from KLA Company's HR that I have cleared final round and there is a HR round today evening for salary discussions.
The role is for Frontend Developer(Angular).
I have 3.1 years of experience.
CCTC - 13.2 LPA (all fixed)
Holding offer of 17.5 from service company in Pune.
Does anybody have any reviews for this company for the s/w department?
How much should I ask?
What are the other ways I can negotiate? Like do they provide RSUs?
KLA Corporation
Thank you

Make sure you know ahead of time what the financial cost will be. I did it but as a single person. If you're supporting your family on your salary, try living for a month or two with only the reduced salary (put the excess in savings) and assess if it's possible or if you need to make cuts and have open dialog about this with your spouse beforehand, because being home and having dinner with your family will be a lot less pleasant if it's served with a side of you and your spouse having arguments over money at the table.
Also make sure they’re being honest about the billable hours. If it’s true, it might be worth it. But in my experience, they like to paint a really pretty picture during interviews but all PA firms are the same when it comes to hours. If you could chat candidly offline with someone who already works there, that might be helpful. Although even then, they might lie to get you in the door and more work off their plate haha
That was happened to me. The first year, it was fine. The second year got worse. Sighs
Accounting salaries aren’t high enough to willingly take significant haircuts. Like in the grand scheme of it all, 200k is not a ton of money.
Your experience in leadership positions and your CPA should allow you to get a comparable salary in industry.
Keep looking
Yeah at that point there’s no point in staying in public that long. In other fields where people consider taking a large pay for good WLB they’re making like 500k+ as a manager equivalent
I’ve been at small firms and top 20 firms (not B4) and wonder why the pay cut is so substantial. That said, post Covid I decided nothing was worth missing actual life. I have picked firms and teams that have the same belief system and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
BT really depends on what you want. There is definitely more flexibility at small firms but resources and certain expertise will need to be found outside the firm. I think there is a firm size for everyone but people need to figure out what they want/need for the specific period of life that they are in and what they want.
Pros and cons all around. It is possible to have boundaries at both but it is team and firm specific.

Good one
