I mailed the recruiter who said apologies for the delay but we will get back to you with next steps. Has anyone had this experience and what was the outcome Amazon

You’re not doing other people’s work for them, you’re learning how to do your job.
Well, taking other people's work is almost the definition of entry level isn't it? Do you feel you are learning, getting new opportunities?
So true!
I agree with copywriter 1, these comments did not pass the vibe check. Your job, whilst it includes supporting your team, should give you room to explore your interests and strengths and you should get support in how you can advance, it is about YOUR career at the end of the day. Have you tried chatting to your line manager?
To be fair, the OP doesn’t pass the vibe check either. They sound outraged about the entire concept of being delegated to, which is I think why they’re getting ragged on so hard.
uhhhh the people in this comments section have a weird attitude about this imo. even in my first ever agency job, i never felt this way about the work my boss & the marketing team gave me. i’m armchairing here, but maybe Razorfish isn’t right for you? look into smaller agencies where you CAN actually take on those more fun tasks and projects (what small agency doesn’t want to hear “i’m ready to take on more responsibility in my role!!” from a job candidate who’s already employed? LOL)
I was entry level four years ago. I did everyone’s grunt work. No one wanted to be in the platform every day optimizing ads and building campaigns. So, I got really good at it. Now I know Google ads like the back of my hand. My skills got me a job on the client side where the hours are not nearly as bad and the stress is low.
Trust me, I guarantee you won’t be entry level forever. Unless you change industries every 1-2 years.
Yes, a lot of your work will be lightening the load of others BUT I would hope that you have some opportunities to do some other side projects - or at the very least, ask to shadow someone more senior to see what their work is like.
You probably won’t be handed these opportunities because everyone is slammed and unfortunately mentorship is hard to come by. Tell your manager what you want and how you want to grow and see what comes of that conversation!
Hi everyone. I appreciate the comments, especially the ones reminding me that this is what entry level is. My problems stems from the fact my team wants to keep me in the same position that does not seem AT ALL helpful to my career. I constantly do work that seems annoying/and too hard for others on my team while they work on other interesting projects. I also work over 8 hours a day doing this while getting paid a really really low salary.
ADDITIONALLY, I’m told I’m not quite ready for the next step but I cover their projects all of the time while they’re out or busy with other things. So my frustration stems from a lot of things..
This. If you are working over 8-9 hours a day you are either 1. On an understaffed team which won’t change unless you pull back on willingness to work more. 2. You lack direction in terms of what you should prioritize, needing direction on things, in too many meetings. Or 3. You’re working inefficiently. Look at your peer group, are they all working long hours? Long hours are a rite of passage to an extent but it shouldn’t be. A lot of the time it’s because you are a lower paid staffer and the cost of an SVP running long on hours is expensive. However, many agencies have conformed to standard time. Not because they are being nice but the department of labor cracked down on this. My first job in media I rarely left before 8pm except on Friday’s. These were the old days and honestly forced me to be really efficient with my time. I got faster, more accurate, and better as time moved on. It sucked, but that’s how things were back then.

This is capitalism so yes, people are totally paying you to do stuff for them that they then profit off of.
