A big key to being able to do this is to believe in your organization's products. If you believe in the products, the process will feel a bit more seamless. When I don't believe in a product, I feel miserable trying to promote it.
I think if you're feeling this way there's probably some ways to improve how you're presenting your product. You have to provide people with actually meaningful information and/or engagement rather than just always trying to sell, sell, sell. Try to be a support and a thought leader for them too.
One piece of advice is to prioritize value over promotion. It will be hard and challenging at first. But I believe that promotion will naturally follow if you provide value to customers. Hope this helps.
A good way would be to look for ways that your product would actually provide value to those in the community. If it adds value then it won't seem spammy
