It’s amazing the power that asking easy-to-answer questions can have on a community. It’s a great way to get nervous users more comfortable with engaging.

True, but I do wish we got more interesting questions from time to time, sometimes it feels like I'm saying the same things over and over again

Yup, it's always a big problem trying to get lurkers to actually speak up and be part of the community. We want to hear from everyone!

I couldn't agree more, it is better that users feel confident to increase their participation.

It makes sense too, no one wants to be the only person participating in the community so it's important that our content is tailored towards maximizing engagement. That way, people can get the sense that they're part of something bigger and become more willing to participate

Makes for great content too, we just post a question and then post our favorite replies in our story. That way people are encouraged to reply so they can maybe get their answers spotlighted

This is true but I think you can also have some problems if you keep thing TOO simple cause then the discussion can easily become stale and unengaging. If everyone is just answering with short answers then there's very little to bounce off and interact with

Easy questions can help break the ice and get users more comfortable with engaging on a community forum. It's amazing how much of a difference this can make in getting users to share their thoughts and ideas.

It's definitely true that asking easy questions can help people feel more comfortable engaging in a community. Asking questions that are relevant to people's interests and needs is a great way to get them involved, and it can help build a sense of connection and community.

I think it's important to be thoughtful about the questions we ask, and to make sure they are truly helpful and meaningful for the people who are answering them.

Yes! Anything about entertainment or pets is great. We have meme and food servers that get a lot of engagement, especially from new members who are still a bit unsure.

Help- my SIL showed me two dresses she rented for my shower, and I think they are super bridal/not very appropriate to wear as a guest or bridesmaid. I have asked others and they agree. I feel like my own outfit, a simple jumpsuit, pales in comparison to how over the top these dresses are. What can I say or do? I feel really down but also don’t want to start WW3 by saying something to her. I feel like I now need to rush to buy a new outfit.
