The way retirement is going, many of us will be lucky if we get to retire at 70 😂

I could financially retire now at 67 but choose to keep working. I’ve been a portfolio manager for 40 years and love it. I plan to retire at 70. BTW my mom turns 100 this year and has all her faculties and lives independently.

As long as I’m able. 67 still can complete with the younger generation.

I plan to retire at 70. I like to be active.

65, plan to work until 80 to maximize SS. I had several long stretches of illness that knocked out savings & prevented retirement savings due to medical bills & loss of work years. So I’m playing catch-up. But also lucky, women in my family tend to live into their 90s. I want to sure I can pay fit that retirement.

I’m 63–almost 64. Sold my practice two years ago. Working now for the firm that bought mine.
A relief to not manage money anymore. I loved it for a long time but at this age am happy to be doing other things in the practice. Mentoring advisors, developing new business.
Might work for another year or two and then do something completely different.
I have been in the business since 1995.

I have an interview for an in house position (only attorney) at a small non-profit focused on conservation easements. I am a transactional associate at a mid sized law firm. The prospect of freedom from the billable hour and contributing to meaningful work are the draws. The cons are that while the salary at the non-profit would only be slightly less than what I am making now, pay increases and opportunities for advancement will be much less than where I am now. Thoughts on making the shift?

Should a DevOps Cloud Engineer with 2 years experience earning around 10 LPA (base salary) in a Fortune 200, switch to a startup which pays almost 20 LPA base salary?
The reason to ask this question is, wouldn't it be difficult at the time of second switch, to move to another big organisation after one is already at 20-24 LPA with just 3-4 years of experience at a startup?
All thoughts are welcome.

Hi Guys,
I have been assigned to a Unbillable Project, they are building one app and have recruited people from the talent pool. The project is not registered in GLOW. And they are calling it as Voluntary Contribution type project for studio. Is this what they call Internal Project in
Globant?
Will there be any impact if I don't perform as per their expectations?
Will it be of any benefit to me if work in voluntary project? Will HR recognize this project contribution as valid work?
