One of my former CCOs said she was one of the best creatives he ever worked with.
Yep, will +1 that. She’s awesome and also a lovely person to her teams. Droga is lucky to have her.

For me, the role tracks. Brands need to make impressions not just buy them. Nobody cares to watch paid media anymore so what and how does a consumer experience your brand in a meaningful way. The best work now a days lives with consumers where they are instead of interrupting them with a message.
terrible take, appetite for experience design is growing with consumers. where have you been?
She is one of the few truly talented and memorable creatives I encountered in my career.
Why not just Chief Experience Officer?
Oh. Got one better. “Chief Revenue Officer” and there’s a CFO. GFA.
Yeah, I think you need to research what this actually means. It’s all about the very specific ways we need to understand what playing a meaningful role means and essentially, it’s the new way of saying human -centric. Cool shit doesn’t do shit unless it matters for the people you’re trying to matter to.

She is experiencing breeze during the photoshoot.
Its experiential. It's spaces... like activations. It's also been used to describe UX (user experience) so it's confusing. It's not being used in the colloquial sense.
The toys marketing history has been a huge point of interest of mine. The Transformer’s story is just so genius, especially for the 80’s, but still, I don’t know why that model doesn’t get replicated more. If you’re not familiar with it, Hasbro licensed the transforming robot toys from Japanese company Takara. But these were just the toys with no characters or story or anything, and they were not even doing that well in Japan.
Hasbro brought them to the states, and then partnered with Marvel to write a back story, make comics and eventually the cartoons. So when kids were watching the Transformer cartoons, they were actually watching a half hour commercial for the toys, but Hasbro didn’t pay any media for that. Hasbro produced the cartoon and made a shitload of money from it too. Sure, they also ran tv spots for the toys during the cartoon, which was liken having a commercial inside a commercial.
There’s a whole episode on that in “The Toys That Made Us” docu series . I think it’s on Netflix.
I know a direct mail company that changed the name of its sales division to “customer experience..” Same job as before the name change.
