In an interview I got asked (in a VERY roundabout way) how I feel about doing work that’s not sexy. Because it was weirdly phrased I straight up asked them if that’s what they mean, which they said yes. Why ask this question? Is it common? Of course I’m not going to say I’m here to only make work for my book. Maybe it’s because the agencies I’ve been at have this reputation or my book is very flashy? Hopefully me being very direct is a good thing and not off putting.

How do I be a decent manager to a coworker who's upset I've been promoted twice in two years and they haven't? We started out as coworkers, became decent friends after a few good moments, but went back to simply coworkers after they flubbed a few projects and I had to step in to clean up.
