In your opinion, how should AI be regulated? Do you think lawmakers are doing a decent job with it so far? No AI police here, so let's discuss this freely.

AI regulation should focus on transparency, data privacy, and accountability. Lawmakers need to ensure AI systems are explainable, avoid bias, and protect individual rights.

Right now, regulation feels reactive rather than proactive, and there's a knowledge gap between lawmakers and tech.

We need clearer guidelines that keep up with innovation while protecting society from potential misuse.

I think transparency is the key

I can't make out what lawmakers are doing about it. Most of them seem utterly flummoxed by any tech issues. I think the regulation, such as it is, will come in the courts, as a response to copyright violation cases. The litigation surrounding AI has hardly begun, and as copyright owners become energized, that will likely be a real battlefield.

Most lawmakers are not educated enough to understand the laws that they are enacting

We need lawmakers who actually understand AI
