Nope. Getting laid off ends all possibility of success in your career.
........cmon obv not
Ya baby, I am still here. I was on a visa and came back to get a Green Card. Trump daddy can’t get me now. 😉
100%. Every job I’ve had after being laid off was better (more growth, more money, better environment, etc.). Being laid off has been blessings in disguise for me and can be for everyone else too.

You can succeed even if you get fired. Layoffs and firing don’t matter in the grand scheme of things. One of my favorite partners at work has been laid off in his early 30s. Don’t be disheartened.
I entered into EY’s pipeline to partnership program with 2 people whom I worked with at Deloitte who got laid off in ‘08.
I didn’t get laid off. They did. The difference was purely staffing chance.
The only reason why you will not succeed is “the pebble in your shoe”! The possibilities for success are endless!
Of course. Your future employers won’t care if you were laid off or not. It will all depend on your skills and performance.
Personal story! I was at uncle D doing really well and top performer (a 1 rating when they still had them) and went to a boutique smaller sized firm. My dad was diagnosed with cancer at the same time and my performance slipped on one project and was fired from that small firm. It was a blessing because I was about to go back to Deloitte, chatting with old partners about returning and got an amazing offer from T2 consulting firm with more pay and way better culture. Just a small step back for success and just continue to grow professionally and address any weaknesses!
Sure, as long as you don’t let it define you. People tend to show their true mettle when they’ve been knocked down
Mark Cuban was laid off from his first job out of college. Keep your head up OP
Some people actually have it better after a lay off
You guys are amazing, thank you for sharing 👍🏼
Got fired and I’m doing great. It’s all about how you respond to it.
It’s also an opportunity to take new risks and maybe try your hand at starting something yourself. Years ago, Airbnb was just two dudes renting out a room and selling cereal to make ends meet, without all the glitz and glam of a “company brand” it has now.
It’s all about perspective.
Got laid off my first job out of college after ten months due to the 2008 financial crisis. I also wasn’t doing that well at that job before being laid off. Was unemployed for a year after.
Joined Accenture after that and have done great here in last ten years. So yea, just brush it off and move forward.
Of course.. not like u were fired
Chief
Of course you can!
I did
