Until you resign you won’t know if they would match. Either they will match & promote or you’ll take the new job. It’s an employers market so they can also hire someone else that’s cheaper. I would give notice & see what happens. Good luck. 🍀
If you scheduled a 1:1 with your manager or another leader, would they be transparent enough? The issue you run into with unknown promotion is the timing and usually it’s not asap. It sounds like you have a wonderful new opportunity to consider!
You need to leave this role and take that other role now
What you’re feeling is “comfortable” (I can tell this by what you wrote) and that is a bad sign
