Interviewed with Accenture for a Custom Software Engineer (Java Spring Boot, Level 10) on Dec 24. The interview went well and exceeded the scheduled time. On Dec 26, I received an email about task completion and document submission, but no tasks are visible on the portal yet. Also informed about one final round with no details shared.

Accounting advisory big4 or IA at F100. Both senior roles. Roughly same base pay.

Big4 has clear trajectory and interesting work.

F100 has 14% bonus, perm remote, and immediate vesting 401k over 7%.

Do tech consultants make market rates? Maybe my perception is a bit warped because I’m getting paid 85k 3.5 YOE. Jumping to industry as a software engineer and will make 165k. Are consulting companies just shafting tech folks?
