Bain & Company I have a second round with Bain & Company coming up at the DC office for Experienced Consultant role. Excited, but hella nervous. Recruiter said it’d be 3 separate interviews, all with Partners; 2 case, 1 fit. About 40 mins each. First round was 2 case interviews with Sr. manager & Associate Partner. Been a rough year, so definitely looking forward to this opportunity. I’ve been on the site and going through preparation and materials. Any advice or suggestions welcomed!

Bain & Company I’m currently prepping for Bain & Company and McKinsey & Company interviews scheduled in the next 2 months. For those that interviewed with both, how would you suggest I tailor my preparation for each one? I understand McKinsey is interviewer led while Bain is the opposite. But other than that, is there anything else I should work on separately for each one?

Casecoach. Utilize the practice with others feature.
I used mostly outside resources, all free. I found a website (that I will add when I find) of 11 or so ppts from various business schools that had about 200 different cases among them. I mostly learned from youtube. The sessions were interesting-ish. Partially useful. Most useful thing is practice cases with other people.
You can sign up for as many as you like and ask for sessions on further dates later on if you need them. I didnt find repeating sessions to actually be beneficial though. Besides the group one.
I had 6 weeks to prepare for first round (and instead crammed in the last week in a half 😅- Youtube, then self practice and then with a friend. Maybe got about 5 practice cases in pre-round one). Then 4 weeks to prepare second round, but I practiced so much first round I pretty much did nothing besides 2 practice cases with other applicants and drafted my PEI. Didnt want to burn myself out. So…like 3 weeks of total actual work probably.
Wow @reseach engineer 1 this was SUPER helpful. Thank you!!!!!
You can definitely sign up for multiple sessions. My recruiter even told me to sign up for as many as I could.
Personally, I found paying for 2 - 4 case coaching sessions to be helpful. However, please note this isn’t exactly cheap, but will give you a strong sense of what your strengths and weaknesses are, especially since they tend to be former MBB

Don’t just exhaust firm resources, exhaust all the free ones. Google cases online. Join Facebook groups. Find forums.
But yes, sign up for many intro sessions.
I don’t think you need to pay for coaching, but prepping is a very consuming process…no getting around that.

Also, practice in person (live video) is the most important thing for you to do. Get the reps in and find people online or in your life (consulting club at your alma mater) to practice with you
