Hey Fishes,
Require urgent suggestions
I will be joining Oracle Financial Services Software(OFSS) and I am worried about job security considering the layoffs that will be happening in Oracle as per below link:
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.crn.com/news/cloud/oracle-considered-1b-in-cuts-thousands-of-layoffs-report&ved=2ahUKEwjv0Lyb3-34AhX29zgGHZGqBBYQ0PADKAB6BAgEEAE&usg=AOvVaw0c9Bz3n-mb4BhVdPKvIXnE
Require suggestions on whether it would be a wise call to move to OFSS now.

Not low at all, you can still afford a nice apartment

Umm “nice” is a stretch unless you’re only looking at covid prices, which is shortsighted.
Op, your consideration would be your take home (after California taxes), then home much you would be comfortable paying.
You can get a luxury 1br for 2500-3500, remember that utilities, food, transport will be higher than you’re used to.
Congratulations on your Amazon offer.
iS $210k eNoUgH iN SaN FrAnCiScO?!?!
Hey, the OP isn't making the median in Denver. His question is pretty clear, will a 50% bump increase or decrease is standard of living on a move from Denver to SF. It isn't an unreasonable question.

Lol people on here act like you need a million a year just to stay off the streets in SF
Not even that hard to live in SF/Bay without kids at a third of your income

M2 Lol I lived comfortably in SF at 70k. Still saved, ate/went out, traveled. Just stop.
^right?!
I lived fine making $95k paying $1800/month for a 1BR in sunset with an in unit W/D. You will be absolutely fine with that salary…..
Thanks for sharing this!
Man I lived in SF as a PhD student on a 40k/year stipend, and it wasn’t even that bad.. I suspect you’d be just fine on 4x that
Stay in Denver!
you'll be fine dont listen to the comments OP
$140K is the poverty line. Anything below that is not enough.

This is exactly what I came up with after doing my math. My monthly rent is twice and basically the 50 percent raise they give goes of all on rent. But thanks for sharing this link, it confirms the math I did on my expenses!
TC150k and living comfortably in SF, so you should be fine.
OP are you me 😁. In a similar boat and accepted an offer at a pre IPO tech company ~250k ish TC. We are working thru the return to office plans but might need to move in the Aug/Sep timeframe... when everybody else will be moving back to the bay area. Definitely concerned with the higher costs compared to Denver but based on my calculations I should end up saving more along with potential upside at IPO. Getting away from Consulting hours is a huge upside in itself 😂
Good luck and congrats on the offer!
Congrats D2, that’s awesome news!!
210 TC or just base?
It’s TC. Base is 160

Depends on your role and yoe
Currently have 4 years of experience and will be working as a customer success manager
What role?
Is that TC or just base?
It’s TC
With 4 years of experience I was making 10 dollars an hour.
You can definitely afford living in that dump
