Is a Senior Analyst level position in industry a good exit for 2 years consulting experience?

Considering making the move from distressed investing/special situations to consulting, particularly pe consulting for the following reasons: more team-oriented, structured career path, more variety, etc. Thoughts?

When I moved in-house a year ago as a BigLaw mid-level, I took a 45% pay cut, far more than I was comfortable with (although I was fine with a 20-30% cut). I took the job because it was a great role and I was focused on making the jump in house and developing the skills I wanted, which required me moving away from my firm practice area. Now that my year-end review is coming up, how do I ask my company for a significant pay raise (not just a 2-5% inflation-matching raise)?

I’ve been at a job for a few months and hate it - partners set unrealistic deadlines, micromanage, and create work that truly is not necessary/push urgency when there is no real urgency. I had other offers prior to accepting this job that may still be options, and going back to my old job (for a pay cut) might also be an option. I can’t tell if this is just burnout, growing pains, or just an untenable work environment. Would you ride it out for a year at new job or pursue other options? HELP!

I have observed that people on testing domain or frontend are getting better pay than other new tech domains like blockchain, cyber security, data sci etc(4-11yr exp) .
For less than 4 years experience new tech job gettig good pay but others getting very less.

In dev job Java, spring r etc getting better pay. Also some SAP consultant are also get paid high.
Is exp people in testing/frontend dev are less due to which they getting better pay than others with experience.

Attended a top 5 UG and have 1 YOE. Doing mostly public sector work right now. Hours are fine, but pay is not at all competitive and the work is slow and not interesting. What comp can we expect to target after 2 YOE? I’m not miserable in consulting but don’t think I get paid enough. With my promotion in a month, I’ll be hitting 100k and I want to only leave if I can get 110k or more (going for strategy, PM, and a few startup roles).
