SCORES ARE UP!
I'm into Salesforce with 6.2yrs of experience working as a Sr. Developer having the current CTC as 14lpa. And got an offer from Mindtree for the same Sr. Developer position(C3- Module Lead), as Lead position requires minimum 7yrs of experience. They offered me a package of 19.2lpa. Is this worthy? Please suggest how much can I expect from them? Also how is the hike cycle in Mindtree ? Mindtree
Yo this on-cycle stuff sucks
Where did that phone come from? 😆

I'm so sorry about your situation. I changed my approach to students just a bit a few years back and it has transformed the entire attitude of my class. I focused on each one of them as an individual and not as a group of students forming a class. I regularly go out of my way to ask my students if there is anything they need. If a student is a bit off I kneel down next to their desk and ask if they are ok or if there is anything they need. I find that it is almost impossible to respond negatively to someone who clearly cares about you. Once a kid said that he hadn't taken his medication and he felt a bit off that day. I went and got him a small bottle of cold water. I told him that sometimes some cold water helps me. He was so grateful for this tiny gesture that it built a stronger relationship. The biggest change was that the students began to follow my modeling and began caring more for each other. It made it so much more rewarding and enjoyable to go to work everyday.
Smaller class sizes lead to more individualized instruction, more relational capacity, and I miss that so much.
I’m glad you’re able to take that time and set those positive examples. Made me nostalgic even just reading about it.
I am.
I have a lot of trauma from work. Coworker stalked and sexually assaulted me a few years ago. Last year a student attacked me. Twice.
I need therapy that I can’t afford. I’m single so I can’t just stay home for a year and recover. I have PTSD and I dread going back now with a vengeance. I get where you’re coming from.
I recommend that you follow through on your commitment to work this school year and make formulating your exit plan your #1 priority. It will look different for everyone. The key is finding what will work best for you. Wishing you the best!
Ask your union rep if you can take a sabbatical or paid leave so you can explore your options.
Or apply for a limited or non teaching position in your district like a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA/TSA) or a position in curriculum.
There should be some internal position you could apply for in your district.
Have you considered accounting?
My daughter is big time. I can say for me, no. I retired in June. The lack of stress due to all the things they start throwing at you to do is very nice. I will admit I will miss my room and the kids.
Starts the first of August for her and did for me too.
Wow. How long have you been teaching?
We’re, teachers, are back to school. Kids come next week. I’ve been placed in our Alternative school, and I DO NOT want to be here! We’re in a metal building that reminds me of a huge storage shed. Most of the floors don’t have tile or anything. The walls look awful. Years ago it was the JROTC building. It’s a dreary, ugly space. We of course will have the worst kids from high school. Thank goodness we have a SRO in the building. I’m not here by choice and I’m dreading the school year.
