Just cannot get into my job lately. I don’t know if it’s the hormones, the upcoming FET transfer next week, or if I’m truly just over my company. I’ve been there 5 1/2 years. I started out as an executive assistant and last year I created a path for myself for communications. Almost a year into the role, a new manager was brought on, to my surprise. She is great, but I’m finding I don’t have enthusiasm for this role at all. I don’t think I have a choice to go back to being an executive assistant

Whenever i have a big deadline, my body goes into a panic mode where my energy immediately goes to figuring out how I’ll get something done well and on time. Hi there. I previously had a beautiful baby girl through IVF and emergency c-section. Now I'm in the process of completing my pre-requisites before another FET. I had my hydrosonogram, trial embryo transfer, and an overall check of my uterus. Due to my muscle thickness, they're recommending with my next pregnancy to have another c-section. I tried Googling but can't find any info. Anyone been through this before and know what they're referring to? I just like to be as informed as I can.

Any women here with lean PCOS? I do not ovulate on my own (metformin regulated my periods but I still don’t ovulate) and am moving from three cycles of Clomid/IUI to IVF soon. No other issues have been found other than my PCOS (HSG shows tubes open). Curious about your experiences. And the reason I mentioned lean PCOS is because it seems for others with PCOS part of the fertility path is diet/exercise/weight loss but I am already very tiny.

Has anyone had any side effects from Ovidrel? I did my shot on Wednesday night and Thursday and Friday I was SO tired and fatigued and it was impossible to focus. Did my IUI on Friday and I’ve been SO crampy and in pain and I’m soooo cranky and irritable and I can’t figure out if it’s from the injection still or what

Anyone experience heartburn after retrieval? This is my third and haven’t had acidity before. Doctor warned about pain, nausea etc but no guidance around heart burn which gets real bad when I sleep.

Advice and/or consolation anyone? My wife and I (both above average health 30year olds) were trying for 11 months before getting pregnant and then had a week 5 early miscarriage a few months back. If the stress and surprise of just how difficult it apparently is to get pregnant wasn’t enough, the miscarriage put us over. We got back to it and have been trying for the last 2 months again, still no luck. We’re freaking out… all we want is a family. Any similar stories? Advice? 😢

Stupid Question- We have been thinking for IVF and trying to understand with this process, is there any difference in the health and life of the child as compared to a child born without IVF. I did ask this with our doctor and he said casually its all same. This is not to question any doctor but just to really understand what is going to be different with the kid. This is not very old technology and not much studies as well.

Talk to me about side effects from progesterone. I’ve been on suppositories for 2 weeks in my TWW and im having the WILDEST side effects but also similar to pregnancy. TTC for a while now, and I think my mind/body’s playing tricks on me. I didn’t have my regular period this cycle, more like spotting, and have bouts of nausea but the home kits have been negative. It’s trying to go through this every month.

Had an FET transfer and just got the news that the pregnancy test is negative. Feeling very defeated about it. All my labs are good (AMH 3.1) and the embryos were PGA tested. Have only two left now, and this was the best quality one. The irony is I did feel pregnant couple days after transfer but then I stopped feeling pregnant. I read that some women don’t really “feel” pregnant until 6-7 weeks… but i did “feel” then stopped. It just sucks. If you have any advice for coping, I’d appreciate it.

Is genetic carrier screening prior to starting an ivf cycle necessary? I tested and found some disorders. Now my RE won’t start my cycle until my partner is tested. They are saying they will have to do special PGT tests if we are carriers of the same disorder. I am confused. I thought this type of testing was optional and usually recommended if you are using a donor. My guess is that they are booked and pushing me to the Jan cycle. Thoughts?

How long did you try for kids before considering adoption? My husband has suggested we start exploring but I’m kind of scared to be honest and I feel like I so badly want the experience of being pregnant

For those who have researched these things at length / spoken to doctors: if I’ve had children in the past and have had a chemical pregnancy recently, is there any point to sending my husband for a sperm analysis? E.g., his swimmers hypothetically must be at least kind of working?
