This is an old thread, but I’ll put this out there. I put together a solar reflectivity (actually absorption) lab. I ordered a class set of infrared (non-contact) thermometers. I found them for around $12, but they seem to be much higher now. Then I made up a worksheet with several different surfaces listed and students collected temperature data in the sun and shade for each surface. Then we discussed the consequences of melting ice caps.
Have you tried testing sunscreens with UV beads?

Our district broke up earth science and incorporated it into bio, chem, and physics.
Going to teach thermal expansion and sea level rise soon for chemistry
That's the standard NGSS high school 3-year plan, but I find that not a lot of bio, chem, physics teachers have earth science backgrounds. tough situation. If you can develop several good storylines that will help.
I don't teach earth science, but my unit on light is including atmospheric absorption and global warming this year.
This article on building a storyline unit is based on a unit on the water cycle: https://knowlesteachers.org/kaleidoscope/a-recipe-for-planning-an-ngss-storyline-curiosity-persistence-reflection-and-a-library-of-resources
I teach Earth Sciencr and discuss all of those. Do you need anything?
Taught it for many years. What are you looking for?
