How do you all ask parents for supplies without bagging them constantly?

When someone tells me bad news regarding their health, I say everything I am supposed to say (I’m sorry to hear that, I’m here for you, etc) EXCEPT “everything is going to be ok”. Because I can’t guarantee that and I really don’t know if everything is going to be ok. I was taken aback recently when a friend told me I am calloused and cold-hearted for not being able to say those words. Is she right? Should I start saying this for the purposes of providing comfort only??

How do i learn to focus on myself after a break up? I was in a relationship for a bit over 3 years and we were close to getting engaged. I can’t find where to break the toxic cycle of negative in my life or how to make those circumstances better. I feel my life has backed me into a corner. I’m aware I’m playing victim and not taking charge of my life. Advice on breaking free?

Hello. My district is currently remote (virtual) and I am teaching a chemical reactions unit. Usually, this is a hands on unit. I cannot do hands-on labs for equity reasons. My district does not have subscriptions to any science lab simulation sites at the middle school level. We use the NGSS. We are standards based grading and I can only grade the stand MS-PS1-2. Anyone have suggestions on free simulations I can use? I teach synchronously to my students 2 classes (2 hours total ) each week.

What basic equipment should all science lab rooms have? We are trying to reorganize after years of things just being put places.

A lot of families want their students to do hands on labs during virtual learning. I am not allowed to "require supplies" for basic school supplies because of equity reasons. How can I reach all families?

I'm a HS biology teacher with 2 electives, Forensics and Worldwide Medical trends. I am looking for online lab resources, I use labster, Pearson and a colleague and I have started to record what the students would do.
