I’ve taught 3rd or 5th grade my whole career of 26 years. I’m venturing into a new domain with a multi age 3-5 grade PBL and workshop model charter within our school. Any advice for multiage teaching

I was the science teacher for grades 1-4 for two years. It was fun and crazy. Try to plan your year out so that you are doing all life science at the same time in all grades. It makes prep ans material management much easier

Comment 1 right on the money. I'll suggest a helmet and elbow pads. 😁

That will help too!

I teach teamwork right away, too. Rules, support, helpful comments, how to give and recieve feedback. I need everyone's help in a multi-age classroom.

AWS vs Cloudflare BDR roles

AWS lowballed but I negotiated to match Cloudflare. Cloudflare offers more equity but AWS has a higher base.

I love Cloudflare. The people are great but it’s an engineering culture and the sales team isn’t as well shaped up and I can’t go for a promotion until at least 18 months of tenure. I am an investor in the company and think of them super highly. I’ve already got half a years SDR experience and AWS promotes quicker.

AWS has prestige but is it worth it?

I have an asset purchase of a retail store transaction. Seller is keeping the second location. Seller is licensing the name from the buyer. The licensing agreement is supposed to contain provisions so that the seller cannot offer promotions or discounts that the buyer does not also offer (i.e., seller cannot undercut buyer's pricing). I know very little about antitrust. Can anyone give me some suggestions how to enforceably draft this agreement, or is this arrangement impossible?

We are deep into NGSS. But have any publishers stepped up to fill the need?

Hello. My district is currently remote (virtual) and I am teaching a chemical reactions unit. Usually, this is a hands on unit. I cannot do hands-on labs for equity reasons. My district does not have subscriptions to any science lab simulation sites at the middle school level. We use the NGSS. We are standards based grading and I can only grade the stand MS-PS1-2. Anyone have suggestions on free simulations I can use? I teach synchronously to my students 2 classes (2 hours total ) each week.

Our school uses Foss Kits for Science and I was told when students return, we will need to sanitize all items before and after each use. This doesn’t seem possible in a middle school setting where each period has a 4 minute break and 25 students in each period. What do you do in your classroom to minimize the amount of work needed to clean and sanitize items. I don’t want to short change the students’ hands-on experiences.
