Is BCGs travel policy really business class minimum or is the recruiter blowing smoke? I was flown economy for my interviews.

Biz class minimum for every client related travel of at least 90 min. And for some recruiting and L&D commitments.

NA employees only

You’re welcome

likehelpful

When they said first they meant biz. And it’s 90 min

Food is actual value, up to a reasonable amount. And no, I haven’t heard of people really abusing that “reasonable” amount. I’d say overall behavior it’s pretty ethical

It’s the best travel policy in the industry, but not sure why perks would be relevant, you shouldn’t make a decision to join BCG or not because of them

like

Not really an evaluation point just a curiosity I was hoping to satisfy

like

Over 90 minutes it’s always business (international) or first (domestic). There’s no limit for food expenses, you can do whatever you want. I expense $20 lunches and best room service available but occasionally do $150 dinners and it’s fine, you just use your judgement

helpful

Lol. Add value. LOL.

funny

Any other travel perks I should know about?

I wish BCG would even look at my resume

Is it economy for under 90m?

Hello Fishes,

I have got my L2 Dependent Visa stamped for the US through the Wife's organization and she has booked the tickets for the both of us in the next weekend. I am currently unallocated in TCS and seeking projects in the same US location as my Wife. Can I travel to the US just like that and then continue my search within TCS from there or do I need any approvals to even fly in the first place?

I am worried because of the time crunch and will be glad to hear some points on this.

Long post alert; I have been interviewing with a b4 for a senior con role since Mar end. Cleared all the rounds including case study and got strong rating as well as good feedback. I do sales for a major engineering firm. Focused on new business and exploring new markets. Last year I was in the top 50% for order intake, and first in number of projects won along with number of new customers. I think this is extraordinary given the effort it takes to win new business.

For next year my goal increased by 2.5X, and less of what I bring in counts towards that target. I really enjoy my job but I will essentially be getting a large pay cut. Lost in what to do besides quit??

529 Plan VERSUS Prepaid

We live in Florida and currently have a Freshman in High School and a 16 month old. We hear from our friends and family with college bound children "I wish we would have done Florida PrePaid." After obviously ignoring this for years, we are finally trying to do it before "it's too late" for both children.

Does anyone have recommendations on which plan to go with for each child? I once did the pros and cons on a whiteboard and it seemed like 529 was better.
