Globant India Pvt. Ltd. Hi Globers ! I have an offer from Globant for the role of a BA. While discussing the role with HR pre and post the interviews & offer, I had specifically ask the HR to tag me to Ahmedabad location as that's my hometown and I do not wish to relocate. But she has rolled out the offer for Pune location ane verbally ( isn't giving me in writing ) assured me that the location will be flexible. May I know from the fellow Globers if we have location flexibility or WFH option available? Globant India Pv

I went one year and stayed with some friends in their room. It was great and not a lot of money. The actual festival pass is a waste of money (unless work is paying).
If you have €5,254 to pay to walk around in the basement and look at work that you can see for free online, go for it. Most of the talks are a total waste of time; they’re mostly sales pitches these days. One valuable aspect of Cannes is networking, and you can do that for free at dinners and out drinking in hotels and the Gutter Bar.

Yes, if you’re the networking type. Everyone’s trying to there’s, so you have to be good at it/ really working for it.
Is your agency paying for you to go? Paying out of pocket seems like an odd play unless you have work that could win and your agency is too cheap
Expensive place to network. Would recommend something local just as good. Also THAT many people means it's easy to get lost in that. Can accomplish the same thing for 1/4 the money over the course of 3 months
If you have friends or a network there. I’d think it would be challenging to go solo. From what I remember it was about social first, networking second.
It’s worth it because of the parties, the beach, the summer vibes, the conversations about the work, hanging with peers and the awards ceremonies where you get excited to do better. The Palais itself, the talks, the panels and all the serious networking is definitely not worth it. Boring, corporate and full of BS.
