Is it good to switch to Accenture from EY GDS with news about recession in next few months ? In GDS I have very good rapport and sure about stability but not sure about Accenture.

Accenture is risky in normal times, a lot of people will say it has job security but being such a huge Organization you don't get all the data. I was asked by my manager to select people for PIP as team lead. I was amazed to see how they said it without hesitating while knowing that all the members in my team are high performers. It's a shame. So be careful.

Not really. It sometimes depends on how much visibility you have with the client, also on how much they are able to utilise with respect to your billing cost. And some times, it's just the managers have randomly identified who to clip from the project. And it's done on a pretty ruthless level. I did not like the approach when my manager mentioned ".... Is asking who can we put into pip. You can nominate one person from your team who you consider is the lowest performer as per your choice". Now if I am partial or someone in my place doesn't have a good rapport with a junior, that person will name him or her irrespective of how good they are. They did not consider what their performance was in the last quarter or last year. So that part is scary. Now everyone in a team does not perform the same. Someone will be the lowest and highest if you get into individual contributions. Now the Lowest performer doesn't equal poor employees, it only means he or she is poor when compared with those specific high performing candidates. If someone really lacks knowledge, the will and the effort that's a different story but here I did not have anyone who had the same issue. So this is something one should consider.
Accenture is risky during recession… put papers and ask ur EY manager to retain you with a decent hike.
I worked in Accenture during recession period of 2008-2009. They will reduce variable and hot skill bonus citing recession. Also increased billing hours from 8 to 9 which means 10 hrs including breaks citing that offshore employees should be happy that they have jobs. They fire mostly those guys who fail BG check or high salaried guys without billing.
It's perfect, do what you like. I can understand your situation.
