Is it me or does the property industry over here (commerical small and big players) not want to pay Sponsership 482 visa fees for people? I've heard dicussions of desperately needing highly skilled people to do jobs but they refuse to pay for the visa fee's AND push them back onto the employees? What's the big deal? They turn over billions of dollars and they don't want to pay a measly $5000 for nomination costs, agent fees can be avoided and the visa cost itselt is paid by the employee now.

Why if you are on H1B is so much problematic for vendors looking for contractors ? Vendors keep on asking to join on W2 rather that Corp to Corp although for employees on H1B we cannot join on W2 due to immigration issues. Point being does it matter for end client , if the contractor is coming as W2 or not ?

The official SLA is 15 business days but I thought they usually turn it in 1 week. It's been more than a week for me so starting to get anxious...

I came to US on an L1b in 2018 and switched to H1b in 2021 Oct. Current 797/visa expiry is stated as July 2023, by which I would have spent 1.5 years on H1b visa (and 3.5 years on L1b before that). During h1b extension , will I get another 4.5 years of extension? How does extension work when u switch visas?
