Is it possible to break into IB after bschool?

If an otherwise good interview the interviewer says: “I think you have great experience that will help you wherever you go”. Should I be reading into this?

I recently joined TCS and want to know that right now I am in unallocated status and my mandatory training is in progress. Is it ok to fill the timesheet for 9 Hrs with a training task (non billable)?

What makes a great investment teaser vs an average one?

Accepting an offer in IBD, lateraling over from consulting. Opportunity of a lifetime for me so don’t want to lose it.
But timing is horrible. I joined the Army Reserves before this opportunity was on my radar. Interviewed over several months, got the offer, but shipping out in 1 month for training for 6 months.
Do I irreversibly shoot my career by joining and immediately going on LoA? I obviously haven’t mentioned it in the interview process. Or will this be forgotten a couple years in?
