I’ve taken my own time to practice - and out of my own pocket - financial modeling courses over the last year to hone in my financial/excel skills. I’ve been considering a MBA, but given the current COVID situation and not wanting to stop work for 2 years, would a part-time MBA be of any benefit to break into IB? Happy to discuss in DM. Anyone have actual intel on how comp (particularly bonus structure) works for mid level hires (vice president, director) into Corporate Functions (for example, legal, executive office, etc.) at BBs?

Public sites like Glassdoor are essentially useless for these roles and WSO seems to focus only on comp for client facing roles like IB, T&S, etc

Apologies for the basic/broad question - but what does the career path look like in IB. If I were to join as an analyst where are the big pay increases, exit opportunities (other than PE)/ timing, and is going for an MBA common?
