Is it worth investing in a good mouse? If I’m wfh for next 2/3 or more months? And any recommendations ?

Generally speaking, the African Pygmy mouse is my favorite. Those guys are small, cute but really know how to get around quick. You could get your standard house mouse for cheap as well. On a more serious note: I have a Logitech Anywhere MX and it’s really solid.

Ditto on the Logitech Anywhere MX. I use it daily and the battery charge is awesome too. ETA: I travel usually and I hate hate hate using my laptop without a mouse if I forget it in my hotel Room or at home.

MX Master 3. I’d give up one of my children before giving that mouse up.

Anywhere is too small for my hand, plus I love having the third thumb button and horizontal scroll of the Master for spreadsheets and app-specific commands.

Whatever you choose make sure to choose a Bluetooth mouse. I went through so many ones with the little usb receiver trying not to spend 60$ but I spent way more bc I either broke or lost the little receivers.

Do you think it’ll really be that long?

Yes, considering not all states are on lockdown and we’re still spreading like there’s no tommorow probably will be like late May/early June at earliest

Ive got the logitech M510. Like 20 bucks and is great. I’d recommend it even if you weren’t wfh.

I use a death adder - it’s USB, but I much prefer it to any wireless mouse

My school has seen combinations of f2f, hybrid, and remote teaching/learning throughout the first half of the school year. After the MLK holiday, our district is returning to traditional f2f teaching 100%. I have 4 band classes (1 beginning, 2 intermediate, & 1 advanced), and as far as content pacing is concerned, we’re 1 9-week grading period behind. Is it a far fetched goal to get my students where they need to be by the end of the school year? How would you handle a situation like this?

I don’t belong in my job. I didn’t mind it when I joined in January and was interacting but as we’ve been work from home longer, the less motivation I have. I don’t enjoy the work but I’ve gotten unlucky with my teams too, and can’t remember the last time my manager praised me without a critique. Maybe I’m just bad at my job. At this point I just am doing the bare minimum to not get fired. What do I do? Should I look for a job that I actually would enjoy doing or stick it out?

I’ve been having a hard time during the pandemic WFH. I’ve been diagnosed with major depression & anxiety. I don’t interact much with others for work and have been able to keep this to myself. We have yr end reviews coming up. I know it will be a bad one for me. I’ve invested in 2x/week therapy (at a financial loss) to improve my health. I’m feeling better. Is there anything that a staff could do/say at reviews that would cause you to give them a 2nd chance? I love it here and want to improve.

For those of you who spent a long time in big law (at least 10 years but more along the lines of 15+), when did you know it was time to do something else (maybe in the law, maybe not)? I don’t know if it’s wfh or just the work now, but I’m finding myself getting amazingly frustrated at things that barely bothered me before. I had an argument with opposing counsel last week and was seeing red for hours after that, and little things seem to bother me much much more than they would have before

Has anyone ever heard of someone living in Asia while continuing to work remotely for an American company that’s based entirely in the US? I am curious how other inclusion teachers are being utilized when the school is doing remote learning. I find that I am sitting in the zoom class and have very little opportunity to contribute. I am having discussions with my teachers on ways that I can better support them and the students when remote.
