Is the pay cut worth to make transition into tech? Been at B4 for 6+ years and don’t see myself in consulting forever. Interviewing for strategy & ops role at Uber but the total comp would be a pay cut, without even accounting for the additional raise + bonus i would forego in summer. Seems like the tech industry have lowered overall pay. Any thoughts?

Reorgs are just a part of the corporate world. If you haven’t been a part of one in your career yet, then you most likely haven’t been in the corporate workforce for very long. If you have been a part of a reorg, however, how do you personally approach it? There are many factors at play, but in general do you try to establish relationships with the individuals you know will be key contributors and/or decision makers going forward? Or do you lay low and let what ever happens be/hope for the best?

I interviewed with a company last week and the interviewer said he would submit my notes to the hiring manager and I would hear back this Monday from HR on next steps/if they want to move forward. I didn’t hear back yesterday so I emailed HR and she said she wasn’t part of the hiring decision so would reach out to the initial interviewer for his feedback.
