How much is the average time to complete recruitment process at Credit Suisse ? I started my process in July, I would have already joined another in the next month and they haven’t completed there process? I haven’t heard back from recruiter in last 3 weeks ? Does that mean i am rejected?
E&Y how are you doing?

Our market is different. This is not a constructive comment.
From asking around progression at D through to manager seems more like this
Y1: £36k
Y2: £38k
Y3: £50k
Y4: £53k
Y5: £65k
Y6: £70k
Y7 (1st year Manager): £85k
(Yes, it takes 6-7 years to earn equivalent to 1-2 years at a strat firm. Yes, Americans get paid 2x as much. No, you probably won’t skip grades unless you are an animal)
And presuming a 28-30 yr old London based Consultant has kids is wild..

I was in London a few years back and started as a grad not at a big 4, my salary progression was:
Y1 - Graduate - £28k
Y2 - £32k
Y3 - Changed job, as Consultant, one level above entry - £42k
Y4 - Promoted to SC £62k + bonus
I'm surprised salaries have not changed much over the past 10 years!
Rising Star
First 2 years no, Y3 and Y4 yes
My pay progression including bonuses - Tech Consulting:
Y1: £36.5k
Y2: £50k
Y3: £57k
Y4: £64k
Y5: £75k
Y6: £87k
Y7: £108k
7 years from Grad to SM is v impressive!

I was at KPMG. My salary was
Y1: 33k
Y2:37k
This was 2 years ago. For what it’s worth I moved to a strat firm after kpmg and got a c80% pay bump but I work c. 300% more
PwC1 absolutely do it! What level are you currently? Salaries are not that terrible once you’re in Management
year 3 is about 40ish depending on the team
You’d be closer to 50k as a 2 YOE in consulting
Depends. What type of role are we talking? Strategy would be almost double that accounting for the bonus

D2 do you mind sharing what it is for Monitor?
Christ 85k for a manager in deloitte UK, times have changed since I was there - it was more like 70k max

FA getting paaaaiiiid
KPMG top end of manager is 75-80k, so first year manager is more like 65k. First year SM is 85ish.
What about Assistant Manager salary at KPMG?
PwC was £31k first year, £33.5k second year, £37.5k newly promoted SA in MC in London a few years ago.
There was no standard timeframe for promo, but M is starting at £50k.
S& is significantly higher, I think they were starting at £42k + £5k sign on.
S& associate is £52k + £5k signing bonus
Out of curiosity here - how does one’s net worth/assets/mortgage/car develop over time on such a salary trajectory? What do your finances/savings look like at 25/30/35/40? I just started working in banking and my perception of “average” is skewed and I am trying to understand so would be very grateful for someone who’s been through this to explain.
It’s tough very very tough
Different in different teams, and depends if you mean london or regional

Does graduate scheme not lead to promotion to Consultant so ~£50k at end of year 2? Just asking as I’m joining Big4 as Consultant but only have 1 YOE and have been offered 50-60k range
All external hires are paid more than internal promotees (there was a stat going around that the difference is c. 15%)
Christ that’s low
The As did get a very juicy rise eheh
How does one budget themselves on a £36k salary in London?
Rent is about half your pay check and you don’t save much but other than that it’s fairly comfortable. If your sensible you’ll have a graduate bank account with a decent over draft to help in expensive months. It’s not the best but if your at a consulting firm you know your working your way up anyway. Far far worse positions to be in.
Lol nope
