A question for the associates:
How should I talk to a new associate on my team (4 mos.) about critical issues including 1) spending too much time on a single project; 2) not meeting expectations in terms of number of billable hours; 3) botching easy procedural issues? This person has significant skills and writes very well. But their work is consistently turned in at the last minute, they have to be corrected on procedures regularly, and they never come talk to me without an invitation.

Any suggestions on how to get an adjunct teaching role at a university. Don't need money or prestige. I enjoy teaching and gives me something to do when I retire in ~10 yrs. Many colleagues who do this are big alumni donors. My Alma mater is too far away to be practical option. I'm an expert in a very in demand field - get quoted in articles all the time but have not been able to connect with anyone in academia.

Has anyone ever worked in strategy at an in-house agency? Specifically at Yum! Brands' Collider or LEGO's agency? Looking for a temperature check on that environment.

Dilemma: Job offer starting salary 18k more than my current salary with no overtime, within walking distance of my condo But my mammogram came back “Highly Suspicious for malignancy”. The offering firm would like an answer this weekend but my biopsy isn’t for another 10 days. Do I accept the offer contingent on my pathology report? It’s difficult for me to think right now.
