Globant India Pvt. Ltd. Hi Globers ! I have an offer from Globant for the role of a BA. While discussing the role with HR pre and post the interviews & offer, I had specifically ask the HR to tag me to Ahmedabad location as that's my hometown and I do not wish to relocate. But she has rolled out the offer for Pune location ane verbally ( isn't giving me in writing ) assured me that the location will be flexible. May I know from the fellow Globers if we have location flexibility or WFH option available? Globant India Pv

I’ve had 6 jobs in 10 years.. but my salary has also gone from $35k to $202k in that frame. Corporations are greedy and will always put themselves first, you should ALWAYS do the dame
Oh no, I 100% agree with you. What I mean is I don’t want to work for anyone who has a problem with me changing jobs a few times to improve my family’s situation by $75k in the last 5 years. Some can call it job hopping, I call it career progression.
Not at all. I’ve had 3 jobs in the past 3 years
2 of which were entire department/company layoffs. This is SME tech
Yellow flag - depends on reasons that are given for job hopping
With the current corporate culture of no loyalty to your employee, the fastest way to get raises, promotions, and bonuses is to switch every 2 to 3 years so one every 2 to 3 years I would say a standard.
Rising Star
At a more junior level it’s ok. More senior levels require more time to develop trust and effectively lead the team.
Lateral moves is worse than clear upward trajectory
Also could simply be a product of mass layoffs
Depends on the firm. If you’re trying to get hired somewhere with a lot of lifers, then it’s going to stand out. The main thing is to have a coherent story for the movements that resonates with a corporate audience. Even though securing the bag is a perfectly legitimate reason to hop, it’s hard to say that and have it land.
Red flag
I’m a bit old school. Would be a red flag for me.
Red flag for not enough.
Yes to both
If depends heavily on the situation. I work in healthcare and as everyone knows that healthcare companies and payers often merge offset or even close departments. I have worked three jobs where I was actually unfortunately laid off because of a merger, then due to Covid then my last company outsourced our department. Even though it is not ideal on paper from an HR standpoint, you have to give that person the opportunity to explain why they had so many positions with in those years. Sometimes it's really not employees fault as in my situation. HR companies may look at my resume and think that I am from going to company to company, and reality it was a situation that happened beyond my control. One company merged one company closed due to Covid and my last position was outsource due to financial issues from the company. Questions like this scare me, it makes me think that HR is bias because they automatically think it's you in reality it's not
I would be for me if I was looking to hire you on the 4th. That shows no loyalty and someone that is going to only be temporary.
