No, take your vacation. Let them know in advance that you had these planned prior to accepting this role. Put it on the calendar as soon as you join and inform your EM.
Not at all

So 3 full weeks, 15 days, in 4 months? Will you even have accrued that much PTO by then? This seems high from an optics standpoint if you’re worried about that sort of thing.
Yeah I don’t think I want to go negative when I first start out… I could shave off a couple days from these vacations
Your utilization matters even less your first year
I took my offer recently with the stipulation that I had a vacation already booked lol they didn’t care
Do it and let people know early - take all the time off you can
I’m new and I’ve consistently been encouraged to use my PTO, but there have been times when my superiors say “hey please don’t take X-Y days off” when we have an important deadline coming up. You should be all good, especially since you had these planned since before you even joined
I’d let them know asap since it is potentially a lot vs how many days you may have accrued by then. Shouldn’t be a big deal since it’s also not like 2 full weeks and should be easy to work around

Communication is key here. Did you share your PTO plans so they’re not caught off guard when you request 15 total days out of the gate?
