Hi Guys,
I have joined Ofss 1 week back and on second day itself I was allocated to project and onboarding WIP I received mail stating to report back to office 3 days per week under hybrid work model policy. Is this compulsory my base location is 2600 km from my current location as I am joining the citi project its seems difficult for me to grasp things though I have only 1 yr of prior exp by I think my team is expecting a lot so moving to new city and learning at same time is not possible .

Yes. Previous firm had a 3x a week requirement. New firm doesn’t have a requirement but I make it in at least 2 days a week but typically 3 days.
No abd you're docked PTO if you don't come in
Wow, no way
My team only goes in 1x month, it used to be 1x weekly but another team was looking for more space because they needed to move, and our area was up for grabs sooo to compromise we gave them our space and we asked for these small “hotel” work stations that are suuuuper small and for teleworkers so we only go in every third Wednesday of the month. Because we’re part of IT configuration for our claims processing teams, we are not customer facing, our customers are other employees. So it works out ok.
2-3 days a week wfh
My partner prefers that we are in office but nothing will happen if we work from home. He has no real leverage because the labor market is tight and all the other partners don’t care if their people WFH. 😂 I go in most days because my WFH set up is meh. Plus I like chatting with my paralegal and other non-lawyer employees who have to go in. I would feel bad if they showed up but no attorneys did.
