I’ve been a P&C broker for about a year now, and I love my job! Problem is the compensation recently changed, and there is only 15% on renewal business… Is this below average? I’m looking into new positions because if I’m going to grow my book of business I want to know I’ll be paid for it. Advice?

Renewals should be about 25%

Thank you, I felt like 15% was too low

Unless you are supported by a salary, 15% is low. If you are in salary for any reason and the goal is to come off at some point, then 15% might be reasonable to offset your fixed costs.

I have family members who are inside claims reps for a large company. The company sends out emails 4 times/day showing who is currently not available for calls. Sounds at least toxic.

I have been talking to a recruiter for a little over a month about a position. I let her know out the gate that I really wasn’t looking to change jobs, but she just kept wanting to continuing the conversation. I didn’t have 2 interviews with the hiring coming and they know that I am not really looking to make a switch. They are now working on an offer letter and I know they’re going to offer me more money. I’m having my annual review this week. Any advice on how to handle a) job offer b) review?

Hello, I am a junior business administrator working in advisory operations. I have been with the company for 6 months, and was employed along with 2 other colleagues. I have picked the job up really fast and am even doing some “extra curricula’s” I really love my job. However I have recently found out I am being paid the same as an apprentice on my team, I usually do at 3 x the work he does whilst also doing my Cert CII. It has really disheartened me and I feel I should be earning more money

So I've been at my job for 5+ years as a data analyst/back office support team. I made my way up into making a little over $40k. I've been WFH the past 2 yrs and overtime more than half my team has now been pulled out to work for a diff department which resulted in me taking 90% of our daily tasks to handle. I'm at a point where the salary I'm getting is disrespectfully low for all the work I do. Should I ask for a raise? And if so, how do I go about asking without sounding greedy.
