I’ve been applying to entry-level roles that ask for 2–3 years of experience plus multiple systems I’ve barely used. I graduated with good grades and internships but I still feel like I don’t meet the bar anywhere. Are these job descriptions realistic or are they more like wishlists from companies? I don't understand this job market at all

Apply anyways - there’s no harm. If you’re not getting replies then maybe take a couple linked in learning classes on those systems and add it to your resume at a novice level. I think the general rule of thumb is to apply to anything you meet 60-80% of the criteria for

Hey DFW, TX folks. We're going through comp and merit raises, I suspect you all are too. This is the first year we're using pay ranges from payscale. I am completely surprised of how low compensation is in TX. For any of you that have visibility to pay ranges what is your experience with pay ranges for your company?

Hello! I’m gearing up for my year end comp conversation and I’d like to be a better idea of what people are making to ask for a raise. I work for a large asset manager and sell alternative investments (PE, RE, Credit, Infra etc) to RIAs, family offices, and multi family offices. I’m currently an associate, but am hoping to get VP this cycle. Any insight on what your comp looks like and how it’s structured would be super helpful!
