At your level, getting mentorship from great CDs at a great agency is likely a smarter long term career move. Learn the ropes, build the network, make great work, and you will always be able to go back to FL
Sure
Elite agencies are overrated. You can work at the best agency and be on the worst client, make no book work, have creative directors who couldn’t care less if you grow, and be screwed over when an inevitable layoff gets you. Choose whatever client or team seems the most enjoyable. You’ll like coming to work, feel more confident, get guidance because your bosses actually care, and your portfolio will fall into place.
The usual game is: full time until you cost too much, too old… then freelance for 10 years while you figure out an exit strategy

It depends on your long-term career goals
If you think you have a shot thenyou shouldn't downplay yourself. If you think an elite company position would help you meet your goal, do that. I wouldn't miss an opportunity I spent time on building a skillset for. Especially not just for ease
“The money and flexibility is nice” may be your answer. It’s at least worth considering how much you value that.
