May I know what is the notice period if one resigns in infy during the first 6 months of joining? I am a lateral resource and they hired me in June, but they have no projects related to my tech and want me to take weird roles.. seems they are hiring to increase employee count and cross training most. just looking for options..

Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?
I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

Lol, it doesn't matter. It's the company's decision so we have to decide how important the paycheck is. This debate is old and tired.
I work better remotely and am fortunate to still be able to do so. HRD is right though. Employee preferences don't count for anything. We do what we're told or have to move on.
We certainly do! I know that, but it's fun to think about these things though, imagine what it would be like.
I think everyone and every position is different; however, I love remote work and it's clear that in so many roles it's just as effective, sometimes more. When I don't have to stop to commute (I have a long drive), you get so much more out of me. I understand there are certain positions and industries where there needs to be in-person, BUT, I also think there are many that could be remote & leaders who say they need people in office simply because of creativity, innovation, or collaboration need to get with the times. Sometimes that is just "old school" thinking and you can have just as much creativity, innovation & collaboration working from home. I would love to be almost fully remote again, but am currently hybrid.
It depends on how the company prioritizes. There can be just as much collaboration and creativity remotely as in-person. Individual preferences can also fuel that ability to want to collaborate, but as said, it is ultimately up to the company.
I agree with you ...it really depends on the person and the job. I do my best thinking at home, but I have seen teams spark ideas faster face to face. Forcing one way on everyone never works. What setup helps you thrive?

Depends on your preference and what the job entails. I work hybrid as I have some days at home that I class as my dedicated catch up on tasks where I have no distractions and any other tasks that require me talking to others are easier to be done in the office. Honestly does depend on your job and what works best for you.
I've worked in-office and remote and they each have their own benefits. I had worked in-office for years before working remotely, and I'd say I learned a huge amount from being in the office atmosphere. You just pick up a lot from your coworkers, and that's really not possible in a remote scenario. I think the ideal situation would be to start a career in the office and then eventually gravitate toward remote work. But without the years in the office I think you just miss a lot.
