I’ve received a proposed CTC via email from one company, and discussions around compensation are currently ongoing. At the same time, I’m expecting another offer from a different company, which may come with a better package.
I’m unsure about the best approach here, should I go ahead and accept the current offer to secure it, or wait for the second offer and use that as leverage for negotiation?
Or, would it be advisable to accept the first offer now and later present the 2nd offer as counter?

Would this be a bad time to switch positions for the purposes of career progression and higher compensation?
