I had an interview with Cognizant and then got an email from HR to fill in CIS form and also along with to send all the documents. After i send all those details i got an email saying the position went on hold and to wait until they revert.
Any idea that how much time it would take for the position to be released? They did not respond when i asked the same question.

I just got a call from KLA Company's HR that I have cleared final round and there is a HR round today evening for salary discussions.
The role is for Frontend Developer(Angular).
I have 3.1 years of experience.
CCTC - 13.2 LPA (all fixed)
Holding offer of 17.5 from service company in Pune.
Does anybody have any reviews for this company for the s/w department?

The market is general has become quite tough. Earlier generalist profiles with a bit of technology background used to score multiple calls converting to offers. With the advent of AI and general rise in tech quotient, every single job out there combines at least 5 roles into 1 JD with most analytics, tech and product roles looking for AI exposure.
Also, I believe most of the hiring is happening off the books via word-of-mouth referrals as in you know someone that makes a case for you in that particular job. So nothing is actually playing out via Linkedin or Naukri or general applications. Having been in the NCR job market for more than a decade now, there is another factor coming into play. Several jobs are actually opening in Bangalore or Hyderabad and these recruiters are reluctant to pick up folks from NCR due to people backing out later over moving cities. My suggestion to anyone searching jobs is to build solid expertise, gain certifications along with hands on experience, ATS friendly resume, location agnostic and keep growing your network. Reach out to people in your target firms and connect with them. Its a crazy job market out there completely driven on the whims of employers, I dont think the situation improves any time soon.
Thanks for the insights. I also believe that without references and contacts, it’s difficult to get jobs especially in Delhi NCR. Might be easier in Hyderabad and Bangalore but yeah location is an issue. Don’t see any advantage applying jobs on Naukri or LinkedIn. Seems like a waste of time and efforts. The HRs are posting jobs just for the sake of it and not really with the intention of hiring. Most of the vacancies are getting filled with internal referrals only. The main constraint I believe is the number of vacancies as well. A handful of vacancies and thousands of applicants.
