Just accepted an offer as a Manager in KPMG Strategy (Deal Advisory) in New York. Few questions:
What are the usual bonus ranges? I saw something about a managers bonus- is that still a thing (saw mixed opinions)? And what is the in office policy like in NY? Are they strict?

You accepted an offer without discussing what the bonus structure is???

likefunnysmarthelpful

Lol I did. Just wanted to see if people on the ground report something different and see if what they are saying matches.

Im in DAS...

The bonus for DAS is dependent on 3 factors (in this order)
1. The annual firm performance
2. The performance of your practice
3. Your personal performance

Bonus ranges from 2%-11% usually. This range is posted every year. If you're 5 out of 5 stars above, your annual bonus is at the top of that range. That's assuming when you're ranked against your peers, you're at the top of the pack.

During promo years, there are different factors and a different calculation.

If the firm didn't perform well, it's a tight year for everyone. We've had some rough years recently so you may see some bitterness in responses. What makes this tough is some people will perform above and beyond and be limited by #1 and #2

40% and it’s definitely monitored. However, it varies on the group how strict it is being enforced. I know directors getting bonuses with only 20% in my group. Easy way to not give out bonuses to certain people or another item to pin on low performers

10-20k. It’s weak here

You accepted an offer for Manager when you’re cutrently a VP somewhere else?!

If he is a VP at a bank, then Mgr is the right role. A bank VP is mid level. Dir, Sr Dir, and MD are the senior leaders. Also, coming from outside consulting will be quite a learning curve. As a Mgr, it will provide the opportunity to learn the business model before having to meet with sales and other metrics.

Genuine question: does any consulting firm in Canada have a life sciences practice? Or is it mostly public health practice? What kind of projects do you do for life sciences clients? Thanks!

I think I have work trauma not sure how it’s clouding my ability to make decisions. I’ve had unstable work after being laid off from a company 3 years ago. I thought I worked out a plan to get to a stable place but my job is proving to be unstable yet again. I secured a FT role at another company but because it’s a lot less money I’m unsure because I feel very cynical about companies in general. I assume it’ll be just like all the rest but now I’ll just be making less and could get laid off.

What are the pros and cons of joining a Captive Organization for Salesforce ?

It is true that in service based consultings the learning curve will be better coz we'll get to work on a lot of projects compared to a captive organisation ?

How should one decide? Can someone list out the pros and cons of both. It would be really helpful for a lot of people.

Can anyone share a salary range for a Privacy Manager role in the private sector for someone with a JD and several years of experience?

I'm a depressed 32 yrs old single with 8 YOE. Last drawn CTC was 5 LPA even after switching 5 companies.
When I see Ppl with 18LPA or 23LPA with 4 or 5 YOR, I really feel my gut wrench with sadness wishing I had that CTC.
I need to put up things right to rebuild my life all over again. What do I do?

Hi Fishes, I would like to know the Designation structure in Infy..which Infy Designation would be the equivalent of Senior Consultant in TCS

Got offered 115K with 25-30% bonus for a fund accountant role with 3 years of public experience. Is that normal? Seems like really high. I live in NY to clarify. Combination of Big 4 and midsize experience. What’s the normal salary range for ppl in that range?

EY 🐠: technically will get info via recruiter this week but curius how is the onboarding process? Havent gotten the background check yet. I start in November. Trying to understand the timing of recruiters sending out links for on onboarding. Also, in my application on Careers Page, it still says, “In technical interviews” even though my recruiter has already sent me Offer Terms. Is this anything to worry or am I just overthinking?
