I book hotels for my execs trips frequently and use the corporate travel and they add the loyalty numbers for hotels and air travel
As long as you are doing something you would normally do, or be within reason, I don’t see it as a huge issue to get rewards or loyalty points. I have a friend that does a ton of travel, and they’ll use their card, get points, and also travel reimbursement. But it's always worth double checking!

At my company, if we are booking a work trip we can claim points on hotel/air/car. This applies only to a reservation for myself. I can't claim points on anything for any other person even if they don't. We also are not allowed to collect rewards on dinners we book for execs or lunches we cater. If I'm booking an event at a hotel, I'm also not allowed to get any extra points that they often offer to the event coordinator.
I haven't had to book a hotel but I had to book a car before so I got my points for it. Turns out I booked it wrong, but I still got reimbursed for it since it was a first-time situation. We have to use the concur app to book anything, but they don't tell you this ahead of time.
