610 to 730 official
Took about 300 hours to raise my score, and it was a real grind. I know people have different experiences, but just want to share that not every path is as easy as four weeks and done. My path was definitely not.
Good luck
I was out of school for 3.5 years when I started studying, Q35 V39. Ended with Q49 V40.

590 -> 760
Studied ~6 months
Wow this is the most discouraging thread I’ve read in a while 😅 Congrats to everyone on the great scores though!
Same here, super depressing

Diagnostic - 450 (Q35,V18) (tested cold)
Now scoring 650-660 (Q48-49,V30-32) in official practice tests! Aiming V35-37
Scheduled GMAT in two weeks. Pushing extra hard in SC to get to the 700 mark.
570 -> 750 in about 6 months / 400 hours. It was not a linear process. Don’t panic if your scores fluctuate a bit. Stay the course!

Target test prep!
I took it blind without any idea of the true structure of the test and got a 480 then studied for maybe 30 hours over 2 months and improved to a 660

720 diagnostic, took two practice tests and reviewed answers over a weekend (did no other prep), ended up getting a 760 two days later.

680 to 770. Studied about a month
What materials did you use?

490 - 690, but I've scored 710 on a practice test before. The 490 was also not completely blind, I recon completely blind would've been a bit lower.
710 to 780. 5 days and 5 official GMAT practice tests. Read through the example sentence corrections in the GMAT 800 book for c.3 hours
I was in a fortunate position though
Maths - I did a quant undergrad and so I didn’t need to learn any new concepts / practice
English - first language so had a good grasp of comprehension and critical thinking - sentence correction took a couple of hours to learn the rules
Wow you’re a genius
These replies make it look like everyone scores 760+
Few people will waltz in and talk about how they put 400 hours into it and ""only"" got a 720
720 diagnostic, been studying for 6 months and hoping for the best!
D5, perhaps. I’ll be honest a lot of this info is coming from speculation and random threads online so I have no idea what’s true. All I know is that 800 is certainly better than other scores and that’s an advantage I can make for myself.
650-760. Studied 2 months
690 diagnostic. 6 practice tests ranging from 740 to 770. 770 on the real thing.
But veeery lucky to be naturally good at verbal. Did everything by feeling, no notes, no clue about grammar. Scored a 51V/47Q though I did nothing but quant for ~3 months
620 to 740 (49/41). Studied HARD for 3 months. Nothing like solving thousands of problems to help boost your score.
Google it - The OG GMAT.
670-760, took about 150-200 hours, the gmac free tests are great practice and all other practice tests blow
Was scoring 690-700 on the practice tests, got a 640 on the actual 😢
A friend was doing 760-770 on the practice tests and got a 740
660ish in a diagnostic, but it wasn’t online so not sure if that counts. Spent a total of 180 hours studying over 2 months, which includes ~10 real practice tests (all free), drilling grammar rules into my head, and a ton of math practice. Felt ready and scored a 760, no desire or perceived benefit of trying to score higher

Where did you find 10 real practice tests?

710-770. Many months spread out over 2 years
650 to 750. Studied for 6 weeks (~100 hours).
