For my pcos ladies on metformin, interesting news article. Be careful out there. The good news I hear is that metformin leaves the body pretty quickly so in 2 days you won't have it in you anymore. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/victoriaforster/2020/04/05/researchers-warn-that-covid-19-treatment-t

I transferred in mid-October, went to OrangeTheory 3 times before beta starting at 3dpt. Tried to keep heart rate below 160 but in retrospect I'm sure that a higher HR would've been fine. Betas were 4x stronger than with my first kid, and I got discharged from the clinic at 7w1d, a week earlier than last time! My nurse said to stay the hell off the rower, but I went right back to it about 10 minutes after I saw my first beta in the portal.
276 at 9dpt! (Confirmed singleton last week.) With my first, my first beta was 65, and I was much stricter on my activity levels. And yes, clinics (esp. nurses) will often err on the side of caution. But on graduation day last time, my doc had said that my nurses had been overly cautious when they told me not to have my heart rate elevate above 130 between transfer day and beta; "Olympians have their heart rates in the 180s in early pregnancy," he said. He is, I'm told, one of the more lenient doctors in the practice... but honestly, I have found that when i ask specific questions about what type of workouts and movements and heart rates are OK, I generally get the answers I want to hear.
I found it very interesting that my clinic's transfer day paperwork this time said I could return to normal activity levels the next day, but I asked my nurse to be sure. She was the one who told me to stay off the rower and suggested that if my normal mile time is 9 minutes, to maybe do 13 instead. I hovered around 12 instead.
Mine specifically said no activity beyond walking and no lifting above ten pounds (even our toddler) for first three days and then light activity until you hit the two week post transfer mark. I’d ask your doctor.
Exactly!! 😂😂 And same, I still picked him up a handful of times those first few days but tried not to carry him for extended periods.
