Just found out a coworker was caught working two jobs which got me thinking, how does HR even know of these things? Is there software or reports they pull? So confused 😂😂😂

Are they in public or industry? Were they using one jobs computer to do the other? Were they working during conflicting hours?

I have been working 2 jobs for almost 3 years and I’m in industry and have 2 separate computers. Never had an issue.

EY 1, how are you in tax and work 9-5, pls tell us your secret. I’m so jealous rt now lol - the good kind of course. Good for you! That’s awesome.

The final straws for me at rsm were: 1. when they started dictating what I had to do with my SPOUSE'S 401k from prior jobs and 2. when they said you can't have more than 3 rental properties because it would be active management (& we use a property manager anyways). They have lost their minds.

It was already bad enough they tried to force you to feed every piece of your investment data into their software and wanted to ban you from using an advisor that didn't offer the direct feed by making the hoops you'd have to jump through next to impossible.

The intrusion into my financial life was unacceptable. And I wasn't even assurance. I was a consultant.

I had a random Independence audit and passed. They asked for everything including a copy of my taxes.

I interviewed for a job at the mid size CPA firm and the first thing said to me is they caught one of their Tax Managers working two jobs.

No idea how they found out, but they knew.

Independence audits, which are periodically performed and randomly selected.

Part of the process is a review of your personal tax forms.

Does anyone recommend working in high pressure better salary(WFH IC Engineer role in a relatively big Financial services firm, but working hands of on many things that builds pressure) vs

job 2 or atleast offer (Senior Manager 3 days a months in office( Banking firm) minimum, people manager for 24/7 infra operations teams and new project)taking a salary cut of 8k in base and with better WLb( hr) says so in interview. I am too confused. On job security we all know we can't guarantee anything.
