Way to take it political, M1. I stayed primarily with friends and family, and the occasional hostel or AirBnb, so no need to assume I know nothing about the regional conflict or am financing any particular side heavily

Israel is only nice to visit if you’re Caucasian. Let’s not beat around the bush - Israel is a an apartheid state.

like

@IBM3, “Israel exists for a reason...to be a Jewish state” -> “(apartheid) South Africa exists for a reason... to be a white Afrikaner state”. To someone highly recommending a trip to 1980’s South Africa, I would’ve also suggested a visit to the black townships for the same reason.

like

Absolutely. The Jews have had a couple millennia of undeserved persecution all over the place and an all-around tough time. They have every right to not be persecuted and live peaceful, undisturbed lives wherever they would like. This doesn’t justify the oppressive policies of the Israeli state, though.

I just don’t want US to send aid to Israel with my tax dollars for ammunition to kill innocent lives. Defend yourself with your own money not with tax dollars, I want my tax money to stay here in this country and used for development for our nation.

Legalization of drugs and paid sex will change these large global events to smaller scale local events. That is my hypothesis. Why travel from Idaho to Israel when you can get your get your stuff in Idaho and can use that travel money to get more of roofies and groupies. That is my business case.

Um, did I also mention I spend my time at the event volunteering as a first responder?

Definitely all burners are about roofies and groupies... 🙄

Remember when Germany was only nice if you were Aryan? Let’s take a step back and calm down a little. Israel exists for a reason and that reason is to be a Jewish state. Yes- we can all agree it has its flaws, but people like to jump on its back constantly. I suggest you do some research from sources on both sides before throwing out sensational claims @ibm2– your anti-Semitism is showing.

@op your trip sounds awesome and I hope you had a great time!

You realize that Jews are a minority that have been discriminated against for years, right?

You’re right about one thing- they have every right not to be persecuted and live peaceful, undisturbed lives. That inherently means the Israel has the right to defend itself. If a group of people were invading the US with the intent to kill as many US citizens as possible, I don’t think that the US would stand idly while this all happens. They would defend themselves. I can agree that Israeli domestic policy has a lot of flaws and things that they definitely need to figure out, but first and foremost they have the right to defend themselves.

EY1 I assure you your money is still going to the killing of innocent people. The US military is far from perfect.

Question on UK visa-
My partner will be traveling often to London, once a month for an year starting September. He is getting his visa through work (10 years, multiple entry, 6 months max stay, cost some $1000).

I have applied for standard tourist visa in the past and they are usually short term. It could be max 6 months, but they see your itinerary and allocate you few months around the itinerary

Is there a way to get 6 months multiple entry visa, if I were to join him once in a while.
