We’re these all freelance gigs? If so, that happens…all the time. If they were staff, you must be doing something right to land all these jobs in a very tough market. Keep at it. Something will stick.
3 full time jobs that laid me off within 1-2 months, between 5 other freelance gigs - I’ve been working 2-3 jobs at once since January to make ends meet, considering I’m constantly getting back on the interview cycle and haven’t had a moment to breathe from constantly being cut.
That's horrendous. If those were full-time jobs, it's horrifying how someone can land jobs and the bottom can fall out so quickly. And so often. Freelance gigs can evaporate at any time (trust me on that), and I've had some ups and downs with that. I'm really hoping that won't be the paradigm moving forward, we can't live our lives with everything being subject to chaos and whims.
I agree. I am an incredible designer with a stellar resume, I’ve worked very hard. But I cannot work as hard as I am known to do and list on my resume, if I am constantly worrying if I’ll have work and rent money should something fall through in the back of my mind.

Sorry to hear, OP.
I had a friend of mine leave her cushy CD job to go another agency. 2 days into her new job the client left and w/in 10 days the entire team was laid off including her.
Her old agency had already replaced her so she couldn’t go back.
I would go to grad school. What a devastating blow.
Feel for you
