This is a project management/PMO position. It is not consulting. Don’t let them fool you into believing otherwise.
Otherwise, KPMG is a great company.
It isn’t MC. They place it under that competency to attract talent. You will go and manage small to enterprise projects ranging from implementation to operations. In some cases you will be assigned to another competency and manage the KPMG project. It’s a good foot in the door. Do it if that’s your way in
I don’t know about that particular position. But I just joined as a Sr. and I like it a lot so far. Recruitment process was professional, felt my offer was honest and competitive, and there is a clear path to promotions. No complaints thus far. Good luck! Do a mock interview with family member or friend.
PDS is the PM (project management) function of the firm. Essentially you’ll be leased out to different groups to manage projects
It’s under MC yes, but you will be functioning as a project manager to the internal KPMG teams. Yes you will travel to the client site, but your “client” is really the KPMG teams. What you will be doing is 100% PMO (internal PMO to be specific), dealing with internal admin-related stuff like codes, billing, workpapers, etc.
