I think SA1 would rather have EY not steal compensation from people, give part of it back, and the EY employees cheer and be blinded to what occurred so it doesn't happen again
@OP Rollover for unused wasn't around 40. If you didn't use it, based on state law it could be 100-150 hours worth. That adds up to a lot of money. That shutdown doesn't contridicted anything the other person said. There are studies regarding unlimited vacation time, harder to request has been observed. You can't point to your own experience as the unlimited vacation time hasn't been put into place yet.
It's interesting you point out the savings of the vacation and then point out to the offset of salary increases. Those are salary increases thay should have happened anyway. Also, considering the other big for gave raises, regardless of vacation policy I'm sure EY would have as well,

They saved a lot of money switching to unlimited PTO, so honestly overall comp is probably still worse than before.
Does seem like all the big 4 are going to do mid year raises though. But it subtracts from the raise you'll get at year end.
