Has anyone interviewed with Amazon in the last 6 months. I finished my loop for a finance role. It’s been 8 business days and no update from the recruiter. I mailed the recruiter who said apologies for the delay but we will get back to you with next steps. Has anyone had this experience and what was the outcome Amazon

Just recently heard of the same restrictions as wanted to send work to a buddy at Slalom, but he wouldn’t be able to take it given the out of market restrictions. Gave the work to another company!
Yes it's the norm unless you're on the cross market teams. Each market wants to staff their consultants locally so they don't have to split revenue
Agreed with sc4 here. We do cross market stuff all of the time in my market.
That’s Slaloms thing. Pay less for being able to work locally. Would expect they therefore frown on taking projects out of market as it hurts the sponsoring market
Used to work there and unfortunately, that’s the norm - unless the practice is drowning and needs some revenue no matter how.
I guess generally if there is requirement in your offering portfolio it's tough to opt for an outside proj. Also you just joined, maybe work with your OP first and then bring up the desire to shift.
But isn’t there an incentive for staffing people across markets right now during the recession?

🤷🏽♂️
Is it true that most projects are staff aug and individual contributor over at slalom?

The slalom 🐠 will tell you no but after 2 months here that’s what I’m seeing.
There is not additional cost now cross market given everything is remote. Then what would be the rationale?

From what I heard revenue is split between the consultant’s local home office and the office where the work was sold. Local offices want to keep revenue we generate to themselves so they try to keep us local. It’s like pitting slalom offices against each other.
Yup. Normal.
